Imagine that one day you came down with a seasonal fever, and your symptoms kept getting worse. What would you do? Would you be embarrassed to go to the doctors? Or would you tell yourself ‘what if someone saw me there? What would they say?’.
Certainly, these thoughts rarely exist with physical ailments, so why is it different with mental illnesses such as depression?
Why would you feel shame, and neglect your mental health with excuses that make no sense?
Mental illness is as serious as physical illness, when neglected it can cause more complications on your health.
